atg UV expedition supports Ecuador Charity



Chris Purslow, managing director of atg UV Technology and his team have reached the summit of the Cayambe mountain, in Ecuador raising thousands of pounds for the Ecuadorian based charity, Danielle Children's Fund.

The Cayambe, which stands at 5800m (19,000 ft) is a massive glaciated extinct volcano located 65km northeast of Quito. It is both the Ecuador's third highest peak and has the distinction of being the highest point on the Earth's surface through which the Equator directly passes.

The charity, which has been closely linked to atg UV Technology for a number of years provides a much needed safe and loving home for some of the worlds poorest children. During the expedition Chris and his team visited the orphanage to interact with members of the community and wittiness first hand the passion and commitment of the volunteers which make the charity's great work possible. atg UV director Chris Comments:

"The charity carry out tremendous work here in Ecuador and we are very proud to be in a position to help such a worthy cause. atg UV has an established history of charity in this region which is why we choose to climb the Cayambe as a way of raising funds and helping those who need most.
