Double Win for atg UV Technology Exports

atg UV Technology, formally known as atg-willand, rounded off a remarkable year with not one, but two accolades at the prestigious Northwest Passport to Export Awards 2007, Winning both the Greater Manchester and overall Northwest regional categories.

atg UV Technology, who are market leaders in the custom design and production of ultraviolet disinfection systems, beat off stiff competition to be named the UK Trade and Investment's Northwest Passport to Export Award 2007 winner, at a high profile ceremony presented by television's Lucy Meacock, held at Manchester United's Old Trafford ground.

In just 3 years, the Wigan-based company has developed its international business trade which now represents almost half of all sales. With year-on-year growth of exports reaching 55 per cent in the last 12 months alone, atg UV Technology has enjoyed substantial growth in the highly competitive American markets, and has seen the development of exciting new trade links with Poland and Italy.

Chris Purslow, managing director of atg UV Technology - and a former winner of the Institute of Directors' International Business Director of the Year - said he was delighted that his company had been chosen as the overall winner for the Northwest. "We are absolutely delighted. To win the Greater Manchester category was tremendous, but to then pick up the award for the whole of the Northwest was a real credit to the business. It has taken a great deal of hard work and innovation to establish our operations in the USA and Europe, we now hope to build on our success in the future and further increase the export side of our business."
